Ishmael Burdeau

Ishmael started racing way back in the early 80's in the USA. He spent his junior years riding in Italy, where he discovered a fondness for riding up mountains quickly. After several years in Italy, he raced for a time in France. However, he was not to be the next Pantani, and so dropped out of the sport for many years. In 2000 he began running marathons, doing 11 marathons in 5 years, with a PB of 2:45. But cycling was still his true sport. In 2004 he started racing again, moving up the ranks until he got his 1st category licence in 2008.
