James is probably best known for his victory in the South East Road Race Championships but his best diciplines are possibly Stayer and Derny races, having been a regular competitor for Great Britain at the European Motor Paced Championship and many other events on the continent. James has won 5 elite National medals and 14 at regional level, and is looking to add to these this coming season.

Other road highlights include finishing 2nd to Rolf Aldag in the Vuelta Ciclista Internacional de Lanzarote, and 2nd in the Giro delle Umbria in 2004.
