Steve has been riding bikes as far back as he can remember. He began his love affair with cycling by competing in Time Trials in his early teens. Quite capable of going sub 21 minutes for a 10 mile timetrial,Steve was soon racking up the results. Although Steve see's this distance as his best, it was at 25 miles that he's had his best result, individually finishing as high as 10th in the National Championships. It wasn't long before he was riding road and track events as well, gaining his 1st category license on the way. Steve continued racing into his late twenties both here in the UK, and on the Continent as well.

Nowadays Steve see's himself as more a social rider now, but if he is not spotted in the locality of a coffee & cake shop, then he may well be found either commaissairing, wielding a spanner trackside, or passing water bottles up to Team mates at various Premier Calendar events or at a local Surrey League event.

Away from riding his bike, Steve can be found in his workshop, over at Cycleworks Guildford. It is from here where he lovingly maintains all manner of bikes. If you have any technical queries, or even wish for a quality set of handbuilt wheels, then feel free to get in touch.
